Muaythai star Buakhao Porpramook confirmed he will defend his ThaiFight title next month but will not return to Porpramook gym.
The former K1 champion, who left his training camp earlier this month, said he would take part in the ThaiFight programme in Pattaya on April 17.
“I am confident I will be fit for the event,” said the 29-year-old.
He is now training at the newly-built Banchamek gym, which is named after his surname in his hometown province of Surin.
“I don’t know how much I will get from the fight. But I know I will not box for Porpramook gym anymore.”
Buakhao, who was reported to receive at least 1.2 million baht per fight, won the title in the 70kg division last year. According to the schedule, he will face Mickae Cornubet of France.
